Technically located in Tiverton, the postcard's Adamsville label is accurate, as the church is found just over the border. The back of the postcard shows Lillie's note to friend Ruth. Lillie says breezes are 'pretty scarce down here."

Hosted by the Kinnane Brothers, the parade featured a mix of local celebrities, Irish dancing from the Clann Lir Academy, and even a fife and drum rendition of Yankee Doodle Dandy, courtesy of the Colonial Navy of Fall River, Massachusetts. Paula and Jim Downing served as grand marshals of the event, which was attended by an estimated 1000 spectators.  Besides making history, the parade and following dinner served as a fundraiser for the Little Compton Food Bank.
